Privacy Policy

Pood ("we", "us") operates a platform that helps small and medium businesses run online stores. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it, for both store owners and their customers.

1. What we collect

Store owners: name, email, phone, business details, and UPI ID for payment setup. Customers: name, phone, email, and delivery address when placing an order with a store on our platform. We also collect basic usage data (pages visited, device type) to improve the product.

2. How we use it

To operate your store or order, process payments (via your own UPI/payment provider — we never hold customer funds), send order and account notifications, and provide customer support. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

3. Data sharing

A store's customer data is visible only to that store, not to other stores on the platform. Delivery partners see only the orders assigned to them. We may share data with service providers (e.g. email delivery) strictly to operate the platform.

4. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by contacting privacy@pood.co.in. Store owners can export or delete their own customer records from the admin dashboard.

5. Data retention

We retain account and order data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after closure to meet legal and accounting obligations.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed (never stored in plain text), and access to store data is scoped so that no store or staff account can see another store's data.

7. Changes to this policy

We'll post updates here and, for material changes, notify store owners by email.
